What I’ve learned at Youth Homes
What I’ve learned at Youth Homes is how challenging it is to run high-quality residential therapeutic programs for children/youth in foster care. You need dedicated, committed and well-trained staff who are passionate about the work and willing to hang in there with the kids, no matter what. Teamwork is an essential component for achieving positive outcomes.
My hope for Youth Homes
My hope for Youth Homes is that the organization will continue to evolve as an agency, dedicated to improving the lives of children and families who have been affected by abuse and neglect. I’d like to see YH leading that charge, working in partnership with government agencies, the schools, service providers and families, to create safety, permanency and well-being for the youth we serve.
