Beth Goldberg, MSW
After 13 years on the East Coast, Beth returned home to the East Bay and started working at Youth Homes in April 2014. Beth graduated from the University of Southern California with a BA in Psychology and then earned her Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University. She stumbled into development work early in her career and unexpectedly fell in love with giving people the opportunity to make a transformative impact in their community. With a background in social work, Beth brings a unique perspective to development and understands the challenges at a macro level and in the trenches. When not at work, she stays active running after and having dance parties with her husband and three young children.
What I've learned at youth homes
At Youth Homes, I’ve learned the power of teamwork. It is ingrained into the fabric of this organization. The employees go above and beyond for the children we serve, and also for each other. It is truly amazing how people pitch in to help one another out.
my best day at youth homes
My best days at Youth Homes are when I see the kids directly benefit from donations from supporters. I get goose bumps when I see kids participating in a workshop in our Resource Center or a teenager taking his first guitar lesson. Their smiles are a reminder of why I do the work that I do.
