Youth Homes, Inc. is proud of the strong tradition of volunteerism that has contributed to our ongoing success.
Essential volunteer support for Youth Homes comes from the Youth
Homes Auxiliary. This group of over 150 wonderful volunteers has
been our primary benefactor through the years, providing gifts and
festive events for the residents on their birthdays and holidays,
ensuring that houses are equipped with all household necessities. In
addition, the Auxiliary donates funds for residents at their
emancipation: to find apartments, purchase home furnishings, or to
provide academic scholarships. The
Youth Homes Auxiliary is always
looking for new members! Click here

In the spring of 2000 Youth Homes implemented a mentoring
program. These mentors, who are volunteers from the community, work
one-on-one with our residents. This extraordinary group of
volunteers models successful career and family lifestyles and
provide an excellent example of a future full of hope and happiness.
The mentors sometimes follow the resident beyond their stay at Youth
Homes, helping the child to feel a sense of continuity, and allowing
the mentoring relationship to develop into a long-term, meaningful
friendship. To learn more about the Mentoring Program, click

Our Board of Directors meets at least ten times per year. This
group of volunteers provides ongoing fiscal oversight, strategic
planning, and quality assurance. The Board of Directors are
experienced in non-profit management and bring a high degree of
community accountability to Youth Homes. The board is comprised of
educators, accountants, and leaders in business and professional
services. To learn more about the members of our board, click
